My dad was told in January that his mitral valve was bad (bad valve, bad!) and the only fix is open heart surgery to replace it. This morning as they were prepping him for the surgery tomorrow, the exam showed that the condition of the valve was much improved and that surgery will NOT be required.
*deep sigh of relief
In other news, my curly-girlie turned 5 and we now have TWO new (newish) cats!
